A four-year standout in both field hockey and
basketball at St. Lawrence, Sarah Burdsall played an integral role on the first

She was among the scoring leaders in both sports
and was a captain of the field hockey team in 1983. A four-year starter in
basketball, she finished her career with 986 points. She was the second leading
scorer on the 18-5 1983 team which finished second in the New York State

rebounder, she scored a career-high 27 points in a win over Vermont in 1982.
Following graduation, she received her master's
degree from Ithaca College and went into teaching and coaching. Sarah has coached four sports at both the
high school and Division III levels and was head women's basketball coach at Alfred
University and Lynchburg College. She was named New Jersey Prep Coach of the
Year in Field Hockey and Basketball three times, leading Blair Academy teams,
in three sports, to New Jersey Prep State Championships.
At the time of her induction, she was a middle
and high school health and physical education teacher at Lenox Memorial Middle
and High School in Lenox, MA. An avid
biker who rode across the country in 1997, she has attended the National Outdoor
