A 6-6 forward, Greg Acunto captained the most successful men’s basketball team in program history. He was the second two-time All-America player in men’s basketball program history, earning Honorable Mention honors in 1997 and a Second-Team selection in 1998.
Greg led the Saints to back-to-back Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association titles and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances. Over the course of the final two seasons of his career, the Saints compiled a 46-6 record, including a program record 24-2 mark with an appearance in the Elite Eight in the 1997-98 season. He finished his career with 1,104 points and, as of his induction, is ranked 19th on the Saints’ all-time scoring list.
A two-time First-Team All-UCAA selection and the 1997 UCAA Player of the Year, Greg is a business development banker for Capital One and lives in Nanuet, New York, with his wife Kristin and their sons, Sean and Anthony.
