One of the founding fathers of what has grown into the highly successful St. Lawrence cross country program, Lee Pollock was the first St. Lawrence track and field All America, finishing second in the NCAA Championships in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

A conference champion in cross country both as a freshman and as a senior, Pollock was a consistent top 15 finisher in New York State competition. In track, he set the Saint outdoor mile and two mile records at 4:11.4 and 9:19.9 respectively and also set the New York State Association records at those distances while winning both races in the outdoor states
