Kevin Szott ’86 was an All-America offensive lineman for the St. Lawrence football team. He played on the 1982 team that went 10-1 and advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinals, and as a senior, helped the offense average 144.7 rushing yards per game in a 6-3 campaign. 

After graduation, Kevin worked as a strength and conditioning coach at Penn State for 10 years and competed in several different sports in the Paralympic Games. Szott, who suffers from retinitis pigmentosa and macular disease, won Paralympic gold medals in three different sports (wrestling and goalball in 1984, judo in 2000). He was selected as Team USA’s flag bearer in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens.

Kevin, who received a St. Lawrence University Alumni Citation in 2010, spent 12 years working in sales at The Hartford. For the last six years, he has served as a regional marketing manager for Cigna. Kevin and his wife, Wanda, live in Millburn, New Jersey; he has an adult step-daughter, Cristal, and a 12-year-old daughter, Kathleen.
