The fourth player in Saint basketball history to earn All America honors and the second in the modern era, Blaine Harris ranked second on the all-time St. Lawrence basketball scoring list at the time of his induction and was also among the top rebounders in program history.
Blaine scored 1,457 career points, averaging nearly 15 per game for his career and pulled down 815 rebounds for an 8.5 average. He shot 58 percent from the field for his career, including .606 as a junior when he averaged 19 points and 8 rebounds per game. He averaged 17.1 points per game and 11.5 rebounds as a senior, earning all-league, All East and All America honors. He was a second-team Regional All America as a junior and the ICAC Most Valuable Player.
He was a four-year league all-star, earning Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman and was back-to-back league Player of the Year as a junior and senior.
He played professionally in England following his St. Lawrence career and then went on to Fordham Law School earning his Juris Doctor degree in Law in 1992. He earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix.
Currently a science teacher and basketball coach in Atlanta, GA, Blaine was a lawyer and worked in the sales field before embarking on his teaching career in 2007. He served as headmaster and teacher at Vale Verde International School from 2010-12 after beginning his teaching career at Eagles Landing High School.
