One of the top members of the equestrian team throughout her St. Lawrence career, Carol Schneible Lewis placed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association national show for three straight years and was the 1978 National Champion in Novice Equitation on the Flat.

Her consistent performances throughout her career helped establish St. Lawrence's reputation as one of the top riding teams in the country and helped keep the Saints at the top of district and regional competition. A member of the 1977 Cartier Cup national championship team, she finished second nationally in the walk-trot-canter .She helped the 1978 team to a third place finish nationally and was a district champion. She also earned a spot on an International Three-Day Event team in 1978.

Carol placed in both open over fences and open on the flat in the 1979 regionals and helped the riding team to a second place finish in the national Cartier Cup competition.
