His touchdown reception in the 12-6 St. Lawrence win over Cornell in 1935 handed the Big Red their first opening game defeat in 17 years.

An outstanding student and a member of Kixioc and Gamma Sigma Epsilon, he served in the Navy in World War II and then went on to a distinguished career in the food processing industry.

He served as a class fund-raiser and on the Alumni Council where it was his efforts which led to the establishment of the Athletic Hall of Fame.
