St. Lawrence University Athletics

One of the outstanding scholar-athletes in St. Lawrence history, Kevin Dooley established records in both football and baseball and was a semi-finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship.

Kevin set the record for interceptions in a game with four against Hamilton in 1973 and his earned run average as a pitcher of 0.78 was one of the best in the nation in what was then the NCAA College Division, which included both Division II and III teams. He was captain and Most Valuable Player as a defensive back for the football team in his senior year and also captained the baseball team. A pitcher and designated hitter, he threw a complete game no-hitter against Norwich.

The Freshman Scholar-Athlete Award winner, he was the recipient of a Baker Scholarship, a member of the English department honorary, elected to Omicron Delta Kappa, a fraternity officer and chair of the Student Judiciary Board. A cum laude graduate, he is senior vice president and legal counsel for Churchill Capital in Minneapolis, MN and is past-president of the Twin Cities Alumni Club.

He ran in the New York, Boston, San Francisco and Twin Cities marathons and has won club and regional age group championships in both squash and tennis.
