St. Lawrence University Athletics

A two sport standout in football and baseball, Jim Michaelson captained both sports as a senior and earned all conference honors as a baseball infielder and as a defensive back in football.

Following his St. Lawrence athletic career, he was a graduate assistant coach in both football and baseball for the Saints before joining the staff at Norwich University as an assistant coach.

Jim then went into high school coaching and led Montpelier (VT) High School to the state championship in hockey in 1976.

He became the first sports coordinator for the North Country’s Section 10 in 1984 and oversees the scheduling, officiating and sectional tournament for all North Country high schools.
