Samantha Legate continued to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team for the second day in a row, as the Saints competed in the 10-kilometer freestyle on day two of the UVM Carnival on Saturday in Craftsbury, Vt.
Legate was the top scored for the Saints, placing 32nd with a time of 32:43.0, just about three seconds away from cracking into the top 30.

The men were led by
Evan Nichols, who clocked a time of 28:44.6 to finish 53rd.
Oliver White placed 64th, while

"Sammy almost made it into the top-30, which was exciting," said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "Abby also had a good day, and we're continuing to see good progress. The guys were a bit up and down and if we can get everyone feeling better we can end the season on the high note.
The women's team placed ninth, besting Saint Michael's and Bates, while the men placed 11th.
Up Next: Williams College Carnival, Prospect Ski Center, Woodford, Vt., February 13-14.
