Prior to St. Lawrence

Morse was a dual-sport athlete competing for the Nordic skiing and mountain biking teams at Duluth East High School. He was captain of both teams, was a three-time Nordic All-State honoree and earned five Nordic varsity letters and four mountain biking letters. He was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.
