Prior to St. Lawrence

Sundell was a member of the Nordic skiing, soccer and track teams at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School. He was a team captain, who earned All-State, All-Conference and MVP honors. He was also a member of the National Honor Society and was a high honor roll student.
