Samantha Legate and
Evan Nichols posted the top results for the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team, as they competed in the 7.5K classic on day one of the Middlebury College Carnival/NCAA Eastern Regionals on Friday at the Rikert Touring Center.
Legate led the women's team, recording a time of 27:25.0 to finish in 42nd place.
Abby Murphy placed 44th in 27:28.6, while
Berit Meyers also scored for SLU in 50th with a time of 27:57.0.
On the men's side, Nichols clocked in with a time of 23:39.1, finishing 44th. He finished back-to-back with
Foster Savitsky, who placed 45th in 23:43.4, while
Oliver White placed 50th in 23:53.1.
The women's team placed ninth on Friday, while the men finished 11th. Combined with the Alpine scores, SLU sits in ninth place heading into day two of the carnival.
