Samantha Legate led the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team with a 57th-place finish in the 20-kilometer mass start skate on day one of the Colby Carnival at Quarry Road in Waterville, Maine on Friday.
Legate logged a time of 1:12:52.0 to post the best result for the Scarlet and Brown.
Abby Murphy came in 63rd in 1:13.31.1, while Emily Powell placed 75th in 1:16:04.8 to also score points for the Saints.
Boden Sundell led the men's team with a 64th-place finish with a time of 1:02:32.0.
Carl Morse posted the next-best result in 69th with a time of 1:02:57.9, while
Oliver White came in 70th.
Both the men's and women's squad finished the day in 11th place.
