Emma Strack made her fourth consecutive postseason appearance to wrap up the 2025 season for the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team. She competed in the 2025 NCAA Skiing Championship hosted by Darthmouth at Oak Hill, Hanover, N.H., as the rest of the team finished the season at the NCAA Eastern Regionals hosted by UNH in Jackson, N.H.
Strack landed a 34th-place finish in the 7.5k classic on day one of the post season and skied a time of 53.45.8 to claim 18th in the 20k freestyle to cap off her career at St. Lawrence and her fourth consecutive postseason appearance.
In the regular season, Strack recorded five top 15 finishes in 2025 and out of her six races never finished below 21st. Her season-best fourth-place finish was in the 10K freestyle at Bates. She also recorded two fifth place finishes at the SLU Carnival and the Middlebury Carnival.
Caroline Tarmy beat her career best twice this season, as she landed 35th in the 20k freestyle at SLU's home carnival, and later in the season beat that by landing her career best of 26th place in the 20k freestyle with her time of 55.02.5 at Dartmouth. In that same race,
Lilli Thomas also matched her career best as she finished 32nd with her time of 55:58.4.
On the men's side,
Lucas Jenkin kicked off the season by placing 25th in the sprints at the Bates Carnival.
Boden Sundell recorded his career best, placing 53rd in the SLU Carnival with a time of 51:58.10.
Trevor Aitken landed a career best at day one of the NCAA Eastern Regionals, when he finished 28th in the 7.5k classic with a time of 21:00.00.
The women's team recorded a team high sixth place three times including once on day two at the NCAA Eastern Regionals, while the men's team landed ninth four times across the season.
In the 2025 season, along with their home carnival the Saints took trips to Bates, Saint Michael's, Dartmouth, Middlebury, and UNH for the NCAA Eastern Regionals.
"The women will certainly be rebuilding next year as we lose
Emma Strack,
Lilli Thomas, and
Etta Leugers to graduation and
Caroline Tarmy has decided to transfer due to academic interests," said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "However, the team moral is high as we have a tight-knit hard-working group with the addition of three first-years, who are very excited to be joining the team."
"The men's side has a talented group moving into their sophomore year, while retaining some excellent leadership from senior captain
Nico Alexander and junior
Geo DeBrosse," Townsend added. "Rising sophomores
Evan Nichols and
Boden Sundell both scored for the team regularly this past season and I think this group is very primed to fight their way up the EISA rankings."
The Saints lost eight seniors to graduation -
Charlotte Brown,
Leif Harvey,
Jack Hulsey,
Lucas Jenkin,
Etta Leugers,
Marlia Richer,
Emma Strack, and
Lilli Thomas.
With the 2025 season wrapped up, they now will prepare and look to improve as they take steps towards the 2026 season.
