Prior to St. Lawrence

Hutchinson was a member of the Nordic skiing, soccer, baseball and golf teams at Marshall School. He was captain of the Nordic ski team, was a three-time All-Conference and conference Champion his senior year and was also a three-time All-State participant and a eight-time letter winner. Academically he was an honor roll student, graduated with the highest honors, was a Tripple A Award Nominee (Arts, Athletics, Academics) and a National Art Honor Society Member.
