Prior to St. Lawrence

Leugers was a member of the Nordic skiing team at Minneapolis Washburn. As a team captain, she was a four-time All-Conference and two-time All-State honoree. She was a member for the National Honor Society, a high honor roll student, a National Merit Scholar and co-valedictorian.
