Caroline Tarmy, Lilli Thomas and Boden Sundell recorded career-best performances to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team in the 20K freestyle on day one of their home carnival on Friday at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.

Tarmy led the women's squad with a 35th-place finish with a time of 59:43.90, while Thomas finished 38th with a final time of 1:00:00.10, scoring a combined 36 points for the Saints.

Trevor Aitken led the men's team with a 50th-place finish in 51:41.40, while Boden Sundell placed 53rd in 51:58.10 and Evan Nichols finished 61st in 52:49.90, all scoring for St. Lawrence.

"Two outstanding first-year efforts today from Caroline and Boden," said head coach Ethan Townsend. "An excellent performance from Lilli as well. Emma has been sick, so sat out today, but plans to race tomorrow."

The women's team finished the day in ninth place, while the men finished 10th.
