Saints Wrap up Second Day at Middlebury

The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team delivered a series of focused performances at the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday.

Serving as the final competitive tune-up before the conference championships, the meet was highlighted by a series of lifetime bests.

Junior Amelia Stacy led the individual efforts with a standout second-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley, clocking in at 4:56.92, while also contributing an 11th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle.

Garyn Finz added to the team's success in the lanes, securing seventh place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:16.33.

The Saints had a big presence in the 500-yard freestyle, where four swimmers placed in the top 10. Senior Faith Rhinehart paced the group with a fourth-place finish (5:53.94), followed closely by Ila Musclow in fifth with a time of 5:59.54. The event was also a milestone for Gracie Ringer and Annie Cyr, both of whom touched the wall with new personal records; Ringer took sixth place with a time of 5:59.64, and Cyr followed in ninth at 6:17.73.

With these strong marks secured, the Saints now turn their attention to the Liberty League Championships, scheduled for February 18-21 at Ithaca College.
