The St. Lawrence University men's swimming and diving team put forth a spirited effort on Saturday afternoon, falling to a deep Hartwick College squad 191-87 at the Frank and Lee Augsbury Pool. While the Hawks took the team victory, the Saints were bolstered by multiple individual wins and personal-best performances.

Sophomore Josh Harris led the way for St. Lawrence with a pair of impressive victories in the freestyle events. Harris captured the 200-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 1:49.13 and returned to the pool later in the meet to claim the 500-yard freestyle title in 5:09.21. In the 500, teammate Patrick Noonan provided a strong 1-2 punch for the Saints, finishing second with a time of 5:15.16.

First-year Logan Doody also enjoyed a multi-win afternoon, showcasing his versatility across different disciplines. Doody outpaced the field in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 50.64 seconds to take the top spot.

He later secured a victory in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 2:04.71. The first-year class continued to impress as Noonan added a runner-up finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a personal-best time of 2:13.22, while Oliver Clancy contributed a solid performance in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing in 2:15.84.

The Saints will now look to carry these individual successes into the final week of the regular season. The team is scheduled to travel to the Middlebury Invitational next weekend, January 30-31, for their final multi-day competition before heading to the Liberty League Championships at Ithaca College in mid-February.
