A productive Thursday at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium saw the St. Lawrence University men's swimming and diving team move up the leaderboard during day two of the Liberty League Championships.
The Saints bypassed Hobart in the standings to move into eighth place overall with a cumulative score of 129 points.
The Saints' 400-yard individual medley contingent led the charge in individual action.
Logan Doody took 14th place by delivering back-to-back personal records. After a strong morning swim, he went even quicker in the finals to touch in 4:19.32.
Noah Heinrichs also found another gear in the evening session of the 400 IM, dropping four seconds from his preliminary time to finish in 5:07.17.
In relay action, St. Lawrence picked up a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Doody,
Anthony Gabrielli,
Patrick Noonan, and
Josh Harris worked together to post a time of 1:30.39, holding off the competition to solidify top-eight points for the time being as the meet continues.
