The St. Lawrence University women's rowing team is back in action and will open the fall portion of their 2025-26 schedule this Sunday, September 28 at the Head of the Rideau in Ottawa, Ontario.
With eight seniors and nine juniors on the roster, the Saints will be looking to build on the foundation that the upperclassmen have set in prior years, and the progress made the last few seasons.
After opening the season at the Head of the Rideau this weekend, the Scarlet and Brown will make a trip to Rochester for the Head of the Genesee on October 11. The Saints will then travel to Cambridge, Mass. for the prestigious Head of the Charles on October 19, before wrapping up the fall portion of their schedule at the Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs on October 25. After a chilly winter season in the North Country, the Saints will head for warmer weather for spring training before getting back on the water up North.

Angie Vertullo.
Both Joyce and Vertullo garnered All-Liberty League honors last season.
Juniors on this year's squad include –

Ella D'Andreano,
Cecily Hansen,
Arwen Jones,
Lindsay McTague,
Sarah Potts,
Maria Schwabe,
Jenna Stinson and
Makenna Williams. While some of the junior class may be abroad in the fall, they'll rejoin the Scarlet and Brown in the spring semester.
The Saints' sophomore class is made up of
Grace Duffy,
Lauren Gallagher,
Sophia German, and
Anahita Karimishahir, while making up the class of 2029 for St. Lawrence is
Ella DeParde,
Lucy Fredman,
Caeley Gale and Milly Robie. Â
At the 2024-25 conference championships, both the 1V8 and 2V8 recorded a pair of sixth-place finishes. The women's 1V8 finished with a time of 8:17.754, a little over 10 seconds ahead of Union. The 2V8 recorded a time of 8:59.628, besting the University of Rochester. To finish the season at the NIRC Championships, the Saints Varsity 8 recorded another sixth-place result in 7:21.794 in the third-level final. Also in the third-level final, the women's 2V8 placed sixth in 7:54.324.
