St. Lawrence Boathouse
The St. Lawrence University Boathouse is located in Waddington, New York, on a beautiful stretch of the St. Lawrence River. The boathouse, home to the University's men's and women's rowing teams, includes two boat bays to house racing shells, as well as locker rooms, a kitchen, and indoor and outdoor common areas to support the athletes who train and race there.
The start of the race course is at the nearby beach, allowing spectators and athletes to watch the start from only a few feet away.
In addition to training on the St. Lawrence River, the St. Lawrence University men's and women's rowing teams have access to on-campus training facilities.
A pair of rowing training tanks, located in Leithead Fieldhouse, became part of the Saints' training facilities thanks to generous donations from alumni and friends of the St. Lawrence University rowing program in 2016. A number of ergometers are also part of the Saints practice facility in Leithead, and even more ergometers are used for team practices in the Saints' rowing room, located in the Newell Field House next to the Outdoor Program offices.
