The St. Lawrence University women's rowing Varsity 8 placed second overall in the third final, as the Saints competed at the New York State Championships on Saturday in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The women's Varsity 8 placed sixth overall in the second heat of the day with a time of 7:57.468. They moved on to the third final, where SLU took home second place, finishing with a time of 8:21.993, besting Nazareth.

The 2V8 rowed to a fourth-place finish in their first heat, recording a time of 8:07.666, besting RIT in sixth place. In the petit final, the Saints placed sixth with a time of 8:43.942.

The Saints will be back on the water next weekend, as they travel to RIT on Sunday, April 26.
