Six members of the St. Lawrence University women's rowing team earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete honors for academic and athletic excellence in 2026.

Maysun Barilla, Ella D'Andreano, Cecily Hansen, Sarah Potts, Madison Rizzo and Jenna Stinson all earned the distinction for the Scarlet and Brown.  

In total, the CRCA honored 1,174 exceptional student-athletes with the 2026 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award, across all divisions of collegiate women's rowing.

This year's honorees averaged an impressive GPA above 3.59, with 76 student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0. These numbers reflect the dedication, time management, and resilience required to excel in demanding collegiate sports while pursuing rigorous academic goals.

The CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award recognizes collegiate rowers who demonstrate a strong commitment to success in the classroom and on the water. Nominees must meet the following criteria: must meet all institutional and conference eligibility rules, must be in their second-fifth years of eligibility, must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the end of the fall semester/winter quarter, must have rowed in at least 75-percent of the team's spring races in an NCAA or IRA (lightweight) eligible boat or must have competed in an NCAA boat at their conference championship or national championship.
