Lilli Thomas and
Justin Levesque posted the top results for the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team on day one of the Dartmouth Carnival on Friday morning at the Oak Hill Outdoor Center in Hanover, N.H.
Thomas skied the women's 7.5K classic in 27:55.30 to post a 54th-place finish for St. Lawrence. She was followed by
Caroline Tarmy in 56th with a time of 27:59.70 and
Carli Krebs in 63rd in 28:19.90.
Levesque also skied to a 54th-place finish in the men's 7.5K classic, recording a time of 24:15.70.
Trevor Aitken posted the next-best result in 56th in 24:22.30, while
Evan Nichols placed 60th in 24:29.50.
"Today was a solid day for us," said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "It was a good classic race for Justin and we're hoping to crack into the top-50 tomorrow."
Both the men's and women's teams finished day one of the carnival in 10th place overall.
