Senior
Emma Strack posted a top-10 finish to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team on day two of the UNH Carnival – NCAA Eastern Regionals – to wrap up the regular season for the Saints on Saturday at the Jackson XC Outdoor Center.
Strack came in 10th and skied the women's 15-kilometer freestyle with a time of 39:44.6, while
Lilli Thomas also had a great day with a career-best 27th-place finish in 42:00.9 and
Caroline Tarmy came in 30th in 42:03.1.
First-year
Evan Nichols led the men with a 39th-place finish in the 15K freestyle, while
Trevor Aitken and
Boden Sundell also scored for the Saints, placing 45th and 47th, respectively.
"It was good day for the women for sure, with three in the top-30, which was good to see," said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "It was exciting to see some first years move up the field on the men's side, and overall it was a great effort on their final day. A shout out to all our seniors and the Class of 2025, we will certainly miss them all. Congratulations to Emma on earning Second-Team All-East Honors."
The women recorded their fourth sixth-place finish of the season, while the men placed 11th overall.
After this season's successful results, Strack will be headed to her fourth NCAA Championships in March.
Up Next: NCAA Championships, Oak Hill, Hanover, N.H., March 5-8.
