Emma Strack,
Samantha Legate and
Leif Harvey recorded top-30 finishes to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team in the classic sprint on day one of the Middlebury Carnival at the Rikert Outdoor Center in Ripton, Vt.
Strack led the women's team with a 21st-place finish, recording a time of 4:00.15.
Samantha Legate placed 28th in 4:11.83, while
Etta Leugers was back in action and placed 34th in 4:15.83 to also score for the Saints.
Leif Harvey posted a season-best 30th-place finish with a time of 3:33.08.
Lucas Jenkin and
Evan Nichols also scored for the men's team placing 38th and 44th, respectively.
The women's squad finished the day with a season-best fourth-place finish, while the men finished ninth.
