The St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team competed in a set of 3x5K skate relays on day two of the Saint Michael's Carnival at Sleepy Hollow in Huntington, Vermont.
The men's first relay group made up of
Geo DeBrosse,
Evan Nichols, and
Trevor Aitken combined for a time of 43:43.8 to lead the Scarlet and Brown with a 15th-place finish and 46 team points.
Leif Harvey,
Justin Levesque, and
Lucas Jenkin raced as the second group for the Saints and came in 18th with a combined time of 44:30.2.
The women's grouping of
Samantha Legate,
Caroline Tarmy, and
Lilli Thomas led the Saints with a 17th-place finish with a time of 50:17.7 to earn 39 points. The second grouping of
Carli Krebs,
Emily Percival, and
Berit Meyers came in 21st in 53:02.1
"It wasn't too bad of a day for us," said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "We're hoping to move up a little bit further in the team scores for the rest of the season and I think that's certainly something we can do."
The men wrapped up the Saint Michael's Carnival with a ninth-place team finish, while the women finished 10th.
