The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team rolled to a 148-31 victory over Bard on Saturday, earning first-place finishes in every single event on the docket Saturday afternoon at Augsbury Pool.
"I'm really happy with the way everyone performed today," said Saints head coach Rachel Curtiss. "We had great energy and some really strong swims from start to finish. It was a solid team effort, and now our focus shifts to next week."
The Saints opened the meet with a big win in the 200-yard medley relay, as Gracie Ringer, Carlyn Rapoport, Sophie Nelson, and Faith Rhinehart combined for a time of 2:04.70. Rapoport followed with another strong showing, taking first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:55.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Garyn Finz earned the win in 2:11.27, while Ella Kuchman finished second in 2:13.27. Lilly Mruzik led a strong sprint group with a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.51, while Scout Huckans took second in 28.98.
The Saints continued their dominance in the 200-yard individual medley, as Ringer claimed first in 2:33.12 and Rhinehart touched the wall at 2:37.35. Huckans picked up another win in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking 1:12.71, and Nelson out-touched teammate Annie Cyr to win the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 1:21.59 to Cyr's 1:21.88.
St. Lawrence closed the meet with a convincing victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Cyr, Finz, Kuchman, and Mruzik combined for a time of 1:52.20
