The St. Lawrence University men's swimming and diving team competed in a quad meet at Union College on Saturday, taking on Union and Clarkson in their first multi-team event of the season. The Saints posted several strong individual swims, including multiple top-three finishes in freestyle and backstroke events.
"It was great to see the team perform so strongly after just a few weeks of preseason training," said Saints head coach
Rachel Curtiss. "I'm really looking forward to seeing this team perform as we move through the schedule later this month."
Logan Doody led the way with a pair of top-three finishes in freestyle races. He placed second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.08 and added a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle, touching in 50.76 seconds.
Josh Harris also had a productive meet, earning third place in the 50 backstroke with a time of 27.25 and finishing just behind Doody in the 200 freestyle, placing third in 1:53.96.
The Saints will look to build on these performances as they continue their fall schedule and prepare for upcoming dual meets, with the first one coming at Skidmore on Friday, October 24.
