The St. Lawrence University men's swimming and diving team delivered in freestyle swims in Friday's dual meet against Clarkson, highlighted by a first-place finish from Josh Harris in the 200-yard freestyle.
Harris clocked a time of 1:49.92 to earn the victory, pacing the field from the opening lengths and giving the Saints early momentum in the meet.
Harris also produced another strong effort later in the session, finishing second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:08.99. The senior distance specialist maintained a steady pace throughout the race.
Patrick Noonan added another podium finish for St. Lawrence in the distance events, touching second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:54.25.
In the sprint events, Logan Doody continued his solid start to his collegiate career with a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 50.18. Doody's effort kept St. Lawrence competitive in one of the meet's fastest races and capped a strong overall showing from the team's freestyle group.
The Saints return to action at Augsbury Pool next weekend, as part of a three-meet homestand when they welcome Bard to the North Country on Saturday, November 8.
