Logan Doody earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle to lead the St. Lawrence University men's swimming and diving team in its season-opening dual meet at Skidmore on Saturday.
The Saints fell 143-46 to the Thoroughbreds.
Doody touched first in 49.54 to capture the 100-yard freestyle title, while Josh Harris added a pair of runner-up performances in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:57.49 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:11.70.
Patrick Noonan also turned in a strong meet with two second-place finishes, clocking in at 1:56.31 in the 200-yard freestyle and 54.97 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Oliver Clancy impressed in his collegiate debut, taking third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a personal-best 11:19.25 and adding a 2:23.48 in the 200-yard individual medley.
Noah Heinrichs rounded out the Saints' top performances with a 25.60 in the 50-yard freestyle.
St. Lawrence will return to the pool next weekend for their Friday, October 31 dual meet against Clarkson.Â
