Senior Emma Strack skied to a fifth-place finish in the women's 7.5K classic to lead the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team on the final day of their home carnival on Saturday afternoon at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.

Strack posted her second top-five finish of the season, recording a time of 22:45.6. Lilli Thomas also recorded her second top-40 finish of the weekend, finishing 38th in 25:18.4, while Samantha Legate placed 59th in 26:16.0.

On the men's side Trevor Aitken posted the top result, finishing 43rd in 21:55.3. Leif Harvey and Geo DeBrosse also scored for the Saints finishing 50th and 58th, respectively.

"It was good to see Emma back and even not in her best condition, she still raced super well," said head coach Ethan Townsend. "On the women's side, Lilli's consistency so far has been impressive and we're looking to see her get into the top 30 this year. On the guy's side, I think Trevor can hit a top 30 as well, and Leif's result is encouraging, and I think he has a bit more in him. I think the break will give some of them a chance to settle back in and come back more focused for the rest of the season."

The Saints women's squad placed sixth, while the men placed ninth.
