Lucas Jenkin placed 25th overall in the 1.3K sprints as the St. Lawrence University Nordic ski team opened the 2025 season at the Bates Carnival in Rumford, Maine.
"Lucas made it into the sprint rounds today and that was our team goal for the day and I'm proud of his performance, said head coach
Ethan Townsend. "
Emily Campbell also had an awesome day for her first performance as a Saint and we're excited to see what everyone does tomorrow."
Jenkin finished 25th overall in the men's sprints, earning 22 points for the Saints, while Evan Nicols and
Leif Harvey also scored points finishing 57th and 59th, respectively. Â
Although Campbell was not a scoring member today, she posted the top result on the women's side, finishing 43rd overall.
Caroline Tarmy,
Anika Vandenburgh and
Lilli Thomas all scored points for the women, finishing 53rd, 55th, and 63rd.
Both the men's and women's team finished the day in 11th place.
