Box Score The St. Lawrence field hockey concluded their season with a 4-0 loss in the Liberty League semifinals to Vassar on Wednesday afternoon in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Vassar was the first on the scoreboard. On their second penalty corner of the game, Avery Bauman shot a pass from the left side to the top of the circle. Hailey Brigger collected the ball and first a shot through a crowd and found the back of the cage. A few minutes later the Brewers made it two off of another penalty corner, this time Leilani Llamas assisted on a shot from Max Meijaard.
With under two minutes to go in the third period the Brewers took advantage of another penalty corner. Again taken from the left side and passed to the top of the circle, Sophia McGrath collected a short pass and fired the ball to the far post, were Sam Kass was waiting to tap it over the line. Ella Pearl made it four in the fourth, sliding the ball from a nearly impossible touchline angle over the line.

Fran Grembowicz. "We battled not only throughout this game but all season, rallying from behind in several games. They have accomplished so much and have set the tone for the future."
The Brewers had 10 shots on goal to the Saints' two, had thirteen penalty corners to the Saints' three, and St. Lawrence committed 24 more fouls than Vassar.
Mckenzie Haberl and
Suzanne L'Hommedieu recorded the pair of shots on goal for the Saints, but Sarah Dumaresq recorded the complete game shutout for Vassar.
Lucy Adiutori played in goal for the first half, recording five saves, and
Cara Vredenburg played the second, recording one save.
The Saints' 11 wins are the most since 2009, and this was the first trip to the post season since 2011. The team's 48 goals are the most the team has had in over a decade. Junior
Mckenzie Haberl's 1.06 goals per game and 2.53 assists per game puts her at 18
th and 17
th in the country, respectively. The goalkeeping duo of Adiutori and Vredenburg's save percentage of .793 is the 32
nd best in the country.
The Brewers take on the winner of Ithaca and Rochester for the Liberty League championship.
