First-year Stella Gizzi was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the St. Lawrence University field hockey team, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Gizzi went 3-0 on the week, earning her first collegiate shutout over St. John Fisher and recording eight saves, a .889 save percentage and a .38 goals against average. SLU went 3-0 on the week with wins over Morrisville, St. John Fisher, and Utica. 

Sawyer Bailey earned a spot on the weekly honor roll.

The Saints are back on the road again this weekend, as they face Lebanon Valley and Ohio Wesleyan at the William Smith Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
