Box Score The St. Lawrence women's tennis team finished its fall season with a 6-3 win over Saint Michael's College on the Sammis Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon in its first dual match of 2018-19.

The Saints, playing at home for first time this season and in front of a Family Weekend crowd, won four of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches en route to the win.

Carly Jefferson and Haley Sherrard led the Saints with wins in both singles and doubles against the Purple Knights.

Sherrard and Grace van Tartwijk combined for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles, while Jefferson and Marie Bank put the Saints up 2-1 heading into singles play with an 8-4 win at No. 3.

Jefferson, Sherrard, Caroline Reilly and Christina Ryan opened singles with four straight wins for the Saints, with Reilly's 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 clinching the match.

With the win, the Saints improve to 1-0 in dual matches, while Saint Michael's drops to 4-5.
