A pair of conference road wins helped the St. Lawrence women's tennis team improve to 3-0 in Liberty League play, as the Saints beat RPI, 6-3, and Bard, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon in Troy, New York and Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, respectively.
Emily Wyman led St. Lawrence with a combined 4-0 record in singles and doubles, playing at No. 1 in both for all four matches. She and
Lia Petersen earned an 8-3 win over RPI top pairing, before beating Bard's No. 1 duo 8- in the afternoon.
In singles, Wyman posted a pair of straight set wins, edged Mailani Neal 7-5, 6-2 in the Saints' win over the Engineers and prevailing over Bard's Katie Esposito in a second set tiebreak 10-8 to win the match 6-4, 7-6.
Haley Sherrard and
Maddie Nasch both swept their singles matches on Saturday, joining Wyman as the only other Saints to do so.
