Gordon White won three individual events and contributed to the winning 4x100-meter relay to lead the St. Lawrence University men's outdoor track and field team to a dominating win in the Saints Ice Breaker Open on Saturday afternoon at Merrick-Pinkard Track.
White posted an All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference Championship qualifying time of 10.89 seconds in the 100 finals, just edging teammate
Ian Clough, who also qualified for regionals in 10.90. White also posted a regional qualifier with a win in the long jump, posting a mark of 6.79 meters. He won the 200 in 22.64 seconds and anchored the Saints' 4x100.
Will Merchant won the javelin with a throw of 53.77 meters, which also qualifies him for the regional championship.
The Saints, who won 12 of 18 events, won the five-team meet with 346 points. SUNY Plattsburgh was second with 128.
St. Lawrence will host another meet next Saturday.
