Katherine Apt and Emily Wyman both won two singles matches and two doubles matches to lead the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team to wins over Bard and SUNY Geneseo on Saturday.

The Saints opened the day with a 9-0 win over Bard in a Liberty League match, played on a bright, sunny day outside on the Sammis Tennis Courts. The afternoon match with Geneseo was moved inside due to rain, but the weather didn't dampen the Saints' spirits, as they dispatched the Knights 8-1 to improve to 9-8 overall, 4-2 in the Liberty League.

Apt won at No. 1 singles and teamed with Lia Petersen for a win at No. 2 doubles against Bard. She then won at No. 2 singles and once again partnered with Petersen for a win at No. 3 doubles against Geneseo.

Wyman won at No. 2 singles against Bard and No. 5 singles against Geneseo and swept her doubles matches with partner Hallie Young at No. 1 vs. Bard and at No. 2 vs. Geneseo.

St. Lawrence didn't lose a set in their match with the Raptors and won all three doubles matches by 8-0 scores.

Georgia Comber, Apt, Young and Wyman posted straight-set singles victories after the Saints jumped out to a 3-0 lead by winning all three doubles matches vs. the Knights.

St. Lawrence will return to action next Friday with a Liberty League match at Union.
