Katherine Apt,
Carly Jefferson and
Lia Petersen won singles matches, but the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team fell to Colby, 6-3, in a non-league match in Claremont, California, on Wednesday night.
Both Apt and Jefferson came back after losing their first set, with Apt dominating the second set and the super tiebreaker in a 3-6, 6-1, 10-3 win over Maddie Lupone. Jefferson defeated Jamie Pine 3-6, 6-3, 10-2, and Petersen defeated Emily Dyckman in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
The Saints fell to 5-5, while Colby improved to 6-0. St. Lawrence has completed its spring break competition and will play its first Liberty League match next Saturday at Vassar.
