Season Recap: Saints Overwatch Places Third at Nationals to Highlight 2025-26

The St. Lawrence Esports team finished off a strong season achieving their highest win rate since program inception back in 2021.

The Saints ended their 2025-2026 season 49-35 with a 58-percent win rate. Multiple titles managed to qualify for NECC playoffs and NECC Nationals with Overwatch topping the team's finishing third in nationals in their respective division.

During the last week of the season, the Saints Overwatch roster defeated Seton Hill to finish third in NECC Nationals among the top 16 teams of Division VI. Joshua Kobayashi, Lola Caruso, Melinda Tiric, Joses Htoo, and Charlotte Begel executed the Saints game plan perfectly rebounding off of 2-0 loss on the first game mode, Lijiang Tower. From then on, the Saints kept it clean winning Escort on Watch point Gibraltar, Push on Colloseo, and Flashpoint on Aatlis.

This year the Saints Overwatch team achieved a third-place finish in NECC Nationals; Saints Rocket League and Saints Overwatch finished in second place in their division last fall; and Saints Valorant finished in second place in their division this spring.

The Saints look forward to their fourth consecutive year with head coach Kadin deRuijter at the helm, as the Saints will be on an uphill battle as not just roster swaps are coming their way, but there are numerous NECC rules changes coming to the collegiate Esports ecosystem that they must overcome if they want to go for gold.
