St. Lawrence Varsity Esports Wraps Up 2025-26 Season

The St. Lawrence University Esports team completed the National Esports Collegiate Conference season with finishing second to Queens University in the conference finals.

The best-of-five series was long and close, with the Saints putting it all out on the "field". Erik Schneider led an incredible map one comeback on Bind as the Saints went down 9-3 early and rebounded to win map one 15-13 in overtime.

Spencer Kavanagh aided Schneider's leadership, scoring six First Blood's and totaling 29 kills on Bind to turn the tide and give the Saints the early series lead. Adam Lee finished the best-of-five series with the most kills on a single map, being 30, on map four, Pearl.

Ultimately, even the dynamic duo of Owen Jensen and Zach Hutchison, who totaled 56 assists throughout the entire series, couldn't force Queens to give up more than one map. The final scores were as follows: 15-13 Bind, 11-13 Haven, 6-13 Lotus, 10-13 Pearl - Queens University wins 3-1.
