Wilson Announced as Nominee for Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year Award

ECAC Hockey and its member institutions have announced nominees for the 2026 Mandi Schwartz Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, including St. Lawrence's Kennedy Wilson.

A senior forward and team captain from Hannawa Falls, N.Y. for the Scarlet and Brown, Wilson has played in all 32 games for the Saints this season, tallying four goals and seven assists for 11 points thus far, scoring two overtime game winners.

A digital media and film major with a double minor in communications and sports and exercise science, Wilson also volunteers as a mentor in the "Little Saints, Big Futures" program, started by former teammates Gabi Jones '24 and Aly McLeod '24, M'25. She also volunteered with Sticks Together and traveled to Kenya this past summer with former teammate and founder Sarah Thompson M'25, bringing the sport of hockey around the world.

She is also a five-time Dean's List, and two-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team honoree, she has also earned the 2025 Media Production Award and a moving-up day ceremony award.

"With Kennedy being a North Country native, it's so great to see her continuing the work of her former teammates with the Little Saints program and inspiring local hockey players, and in turn being recognized as a Mandi Schwartz nominee," said head coach Chris Wells.

The Mandi Schwartz Scholar-Athlete of the Year award is presented annually to an ECAC Hockey female athlete in honor of the late Mandi Schwartz, a Yale women's ice hockey alum who passed away in April 2011, and is awarded to the ECAC Hockey student-athlete who most embodies Mandi Schwartz's excellence and leadership on the ice, in the classroom, and in the community.

Nominees for this prestigious award must be leaders within their teams, in the classroom, and in the community. The nominees from each institution are listed below -

Brown - Gali Levy
Clarkson - Sena Catterall
Colgate - Avery Pickering
Cornell - Mckenna Van Gelder
Dartmouth - McAllister Dixon
Harvard - Kate Kasica
Princeton - Issy Wunder
Quinnipiac - Emerson Jarvis

The three finalists will be announced on Thursday, February 12 and this year's ECAC Hockey Mandi Schwartz Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be recognized at their final regular season home contest.
