The St. Lawrence University women's track and field team finshed fourth out of 14 teams at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup on Friday, with a group of underclassmen producing the bulk of the positive results.

Ella Baker led the charge for the Saints' sprinters, putting together a double-podium performance. Baker showcased her speed in the 60-meter dash, posting a second-place finish with a time of 8.03. She carried that momentum into the 200-meter run, where she once again secured second by crossing the line in 25.96 for a personal-best mark.
Ava Machado also used a lifetime record to battle through a competitive field and take fiffth place in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 8.20.

The distance and middle-distance groups added significant points to the team total, highlighted by
Avery Blanchard's runner-up finish in the 3000-meter run. Blanchard clocked a 10:37.49 to take second place, navigating the tactical race with poise. In the 800-meter run,
Madison Beaudoin turned in a personal-best fifth-place performance, stopping the clock at 2:19.49 to keep the Saints' momentum rolling through the afternoon.

The Saints wrapped up the track events with a collective effort in the 4x400-meter relay. The quartet of
Addison Ash,
Madison Beaudoin,
Ava Machado, and
Margaret McNally combined for a fourth-place finish, posting a time of 4:12.42. Ash also posted a PR in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 1:02.93 to finish 12
th in the event.
St. Lawrence also found success in the sand pits, as
Emma Brosell leaped to sixth place in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 10.12 meters, while
Grace Galbreath secured an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.86 meters.
St. Lawrence now heads to the Fastrack National Invitational for the next portion of their schedule.
