Villeneuve Posts Fastest Second-Run Time, Finishes NCAA Slalom in 21st

Senior Kobe Villeneuve recorded a 21st-place finish in the men's slalom on day one of the 2025 NCAA Skiing Championships, hosted by Dartmouth College at the Dartmouth Skiway.

Battling the elements of a rainy day in Lyme, N.H., Villeneuve skied a first-run time of 44.32, which landed him in 31st place. He was scheduled fourth out of the start gate for run two and recorded a second-run time of 44.90. Villeneuve finished with a combined time of 1:29.22 and moved up 10 spots for 21st place.

"I'm extremely proud of Kobe's effort today," said head coach Willi Steinrotter. "He had a solid first run and then an incredible second run. He brought the passion and effort needed to win the second run. We're looking forward to the GS and take today's second-run momentum into Friday.

Villeneuve will continue his run in the postseason and compete in the giant slalom on Friday, March 7 at the Dartmouth Skiway. The women's first run is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., with the men's first run to follow around 10:15 a.m.
