ECAC Hockey and its member institutions have announced nominees for the 2025 Mandi Schwartz Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, including St. Lawrence's Taylor Lum.

A senior forward and team captain from Etobicoke, Ontario for the Scarlet and Brown, Lum has played in 29 games for the Saints this season, tallying nine goals and six assists for 15 points thus far. She has also tallied a team-best five game-winning goals this season.

Lum is a three-time ECAC All-Academic honoree, a three-time AHCA Krampade All-American Scholar and has earned St. Lawrence Dean's List distinction in all her semesters at St. Lawrence. In addition to earning ECAC All-Academic three times, she has also been St. Lawrence's Commissioner's List Honoree with a 4.0 grade point average.

A data science major with a minor in chemistry, Lum has also earned Phi Beta Kappa, Mu Sigma Rho, and CSC Academic All-District accolades, and received the Linda Reeves Pettit Endowed Merit Scholarship and the Andrea Blakely Scholar-Athlete Award.

Lum also volunteers as a mentor in the "Little Saints, Big Futures" program, started by teammates Gabi Jones and Aly McLeod, and works as a peer mentor/tutor at SLU's Peterson Quantitative Resource Center.

The Mandi Schwartz Scholar-Athlete of the Year award is presented annually to an ECAC Hockey female athlete in honor of the late Mandi Schwartz, a Yale women's ice hockey alum who passed away in April 2011, and is awarded to the ECAC Hockey student-athlete who most embodies Mandi Schwartz's excellence and leadership on the ice, in the classroom, and in the community.

This year's ECAC Hockey Mandi Schwartz Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be announced on Saturday, February 8, with the winner being recognized at their final regular season home contest.
