The St. Lawrence University field hockey team wrapped up the 2025 season with a 5-9 overall record, showing steady progress throughout the fall and closing the year on a high note. The campaign featured important conference results and continued development across a young but improving roster.

"This season was another incredible step forward, highlighted by tremendous growth across our roster and as a team," said Saints head coach Fran Grembowicz. "Our senior class deserves immense credit for setting the tone and leading by example. Their work ethic, dedication, and unwavering commitment to their teammates, coaches, and the Saints program set the standard for our program.

"We are excited to build on that foundation with a talented core of juniors, sophomores, and first-year student-athletes as we continue to move the program ahead. The future of the Saints program is bright, and this season was a glimpse of what's ahead.

The Saints opened the season in impressive fashion, posting three consecutive shutouts while outscoring their opponents 13-0 during that stretch with wins over SUNY Oneonta, Utica, and Moravian.

Conference play brought a notable Liberty League victory over Union, where the Saints had two early second-half goals to complete the comeback victory. That momentum carried into the season finale, where the Saints earned a 2-1 overtime win against Cortland. Senior Mayson Blondek sealed the victory by slipping the game-winning goal past the Red Dragons keeper, delivering a memorable finish to the season.

Offensively, Sydney LeClair led the Saints with six goals. Caroline Hamilton, who was second on the team with five goals, was recognized with second-team All-Liberty League honors, while Maja Helmer earned all-league honorable mention for her contributions during the season.

In goal, Elizabeth Walsh continued her successful transition from field player to goalkeeper, finishing the year with 121 saves, a .797 save percentage, and a 2.39 goals against average.

The Saints also excelled academically, with nine student-athletes earning all-academic recognition, underscoring the program's commitment to success on and off the field.
