St. Lawrence University field hockey seniors Caroline Hamilton and Maja Helmer both finished their collegiate field hockey careers with All-Liberty League nods, with Hamilton making the second team and Helmer receiving an honorable mention, the conference office announced this week.

Hamilton, who made the second team as a forward, finished her fourth season as one of the more prolific players in the conference. This season, she placed 11^th in the conference in points per game, registering 0.93 after scoring five goals and adding three assists for 13 points on the year.

The senior from White River Junction, Vt. had five multi-point games, and added three-point games against Utica and Moravian in the non-conference.

"I'm really proud of Caroline," said Saints head coach Fran Grembowicz. "She made the adjustment from being an attacker to a high midfielder. She played from the defensive end all the way into the circle. She was important on corners on both ends of the field. She was a stalwart defender as our fly on defensive corners, and a great deflector for the hitters on our offensive unit."

Helmer, a defender on the honorable mention list, had five assists over 14 games played in 2024, recording eight shots on goal from the back. The native of Barneveld, N.Y. has been a crucial part of the team all over the field, according to her head coach.

"It is so great to see Maja get this well-deserved recognition," said Grembowicz. "She is a great two-way player, making an impact both offensively and defensively. She has been an integral part of controlling the midfield in her time as a Saint."

"Both of these players have been instrumental in leading our team in their four years here and took on important leadership roles this year, both on the field and with our team culture," continued Grembowicz.
